अतो वै कवयो नित्यं भक्तिं परमया मुदा।वासुदेवे भगवति कुर्वन्त्यात्मप्रसादनीम्।।22।।
अनुवाद श्रील प्रभुपाद के द्वारा : अतएव,निश्चय ही सभी अध्यात्मवादी अनन्त काल से अत्यंत प्रसन्नता पूर्वक भगवान श्रीकृष्ण की भक्ति करते आ रहे हैं, क्योंकि ऐसी भक्ति आत्मा को प्रसन्न करने वाली है।
तात्पर्य : यहां पर विशिष्ट रूप से भगवान श्रीकृष्ण की भक्ति की विशेषता का वर्णन हुआ है। भगवान श्रीकृष्ण स्वयंरूप श्रीभगवान हैं, और श्रीबलदेव, संकर्षण, वासुदेव, अनिरूद्ध, प्रद्युम्न तथा श्रीनारायण जैसे अन्य अवतारों से लेकर पुरूषावतार,गुणावतार,लीलावतार, युगावतार तथा श्रीभगवान के अन्य हजारों स्वरूप भगवान श्रीकृष्ण के स्वांश एवं विस्तार हैं।
जीवात्मा श्रीभगवान से पृथक हुए उनके भिन्नांश हैं। अतएव भगवान श्रीकृष्ण ही मूल श्रीभगवान हैं, और दिव्यता की पराकाष्ठा हैं।वे उन उच्च अध्यात्मवादियों के लिए अधिक आकर्षक हैं जो श्रीभगवान की नित्य लीलाओं में भाग लेते हैं।
श्रीकृष्ण तथा श्रीबलदेव के अतिरिक्त श्रीभगवान के अन्य रूपों के साथ वैसी घनिष्ठता स्थापित नहीं हो पाती जितनी कि ब्रजभूमि में श्रीभगवान की दिव्य लीलाओं में होती है।
ऐसा नहीं है कि भगवान श्रीकृष्ण की दिव्य लीलाएं नयी हों,जैसा कि कुछ अल्पज्ञ मनुष्य समझते हैं। उनकी लीलाएं शाश्वत हैं, और ब्रम्हा के एक दिन में एक बार यथा समय प्रकट होती हैं,जिस प्रकार प्रत्येक चौबीस घंटों की समाप्ति पर पूर्व दिशा में सूर्य का उदय होता है।
श्रीमद्भागवतम् के इस श्लोक से हमें यह समझना होगा कि हमें अनेक देवी देवताओं की पूजा न करके,केवल भगवान श्रीकृष्ण की ही भक्ति करनी चाहिए, क्योंकि परम भगवान तो केवल और केवल श्रीकृष्ण हैं। अतः हमें केवल श्रीकृष्ण की भक्ति करने से वो सारे फल प्राप्त हो जाते हैं जो अलग अलग देवी देवताओं की पूजा करने से प्राप्त होते हैं।
भगवान के अन्य अवतार, तथा उनके हजारों स्वरूप भगवान श्रीकृष्ण के ही विस्तार हैं, क्योंकि भगवान श्रीकृष्ण स्वयंरूप श्रीभगवान हैं। अन्य सभी देवी देवता उन्हीं से अवतरित हुए हैं, और वे सभी श्रीभगवान के पार्षद हैं, अर्थात वे सभी श्रीभगवान के दास हैं। अतः हमें अन्य सभी देवी देवताओं का भी अपमान नहीं करना चाहिए, उन्हें भी सम्मान देना चाहिए, लेकिन पूजा तो केवल श्रीकृष्ण की ही करनी चाहिए, क्योंकि परम भगवान तो केवल और केवल श्रीकृष्ण ही हैं।
हम सभी जीवात्मा भगवान के ही अंश हैं, किन्तु हम अपनी कुछ गलतियों के कारण भगवान से पृथक (अलग)हो गए हैं, और इस धरती पर आकर अपने कर्मों का फल भोग रहे हैं। भगवान श्रीकृष्ण की लीलाएं शाश्वत हैं, और ब्रम्हा जी के एक दिन में एक बार अपने समय पर प्रकट होती हैं। ब्रम्हा जी के जीवन के एक दिन की अवधि ४,३०,००,००,००० सौर वर्षों की होती है, और श्रीभगवान की दिव्य लीलाएं ब्रम्हा जी के एक दिन में अपने यथा समय पर प्रकट होती हैं, जिस प्रकार सूर्य का प्रत्येक चौबीस घंटों की समाप्ति पर पूर्व दिशा में उदय होता है।
Ato vai kavayo nityam bhaktim paramaya muda
Vasudeve bhagavati kurvantyatmprasadaneem ।।22।।
Translation by Srila Prabhupada : Therefore, certainly all spiritualists have been performing devotional service to Lord Sri Krishna from eternity with great joy, for such devotion is soul-pleasing.
Purport : Here the specialty of devotional service to Lord Sri Krishna is described specifically. Lord Sri Krishna is Sri Bhagavan Himself, and the other incarnations of Sri Baladeva, Sankarsana, Vasudeva, Aniruddha, Pradyumna and Sri Narayana, as well as the Purushavatara, Gunavatara, Lila-avatara, Yuga-avatara and thousands of other manifestations of Sri Bhagavan are the self-parts and expansions of Lord Sri Krishna.
The living entity is the separation of Sri Bhagavan from Him. Therefore, Lord Sri Krishna is the original Sri Bhagavan, the culmination of divinity. He is more attractive to those high spiritualists who participate in the eternal pastimes of Sri Bhagavan.
Apart from Sri Krishna and Sri Baldev, the intimacy with other forms of Sri Bhagwan cannot be established as is there in the divine pastimes of Sri Bhagwan in Brajbhoomi.
It is not that the divine pastimes of Lord Sri Krishna are new, as some ignorant people think. His pastimes are eternal and appear once in a day of Brahma at the appropriate time, just as the sun rises in the east at the end of every twenty-four hours.
From this shloka of Shrimadbhagwatam, we have to understand that instead of worshipping many gods and goddesses, we should worship only Lord Krishna, because the Supreme God is only and only Shri Krishna. Therefore, by worshipping only Shri Krishna, we get all the fruits that we get by worshipping different gods and goddesses.
The other incarnations of God and His thousands of forms are expansions of Lord Krishna, because Lord Krishna is Shri Bhagwan Himself. All other gods and goddesses have descended from Him, and they are all the associates of Shri Bhagwan, that is, they are all the servants of Shri Bhagwan. Therefore, we should not insult all other gods and goddesses, we should also respect them, but we should worship only Shri Krishna, because the Supreme God is only and only Shri Krishna.
All of us living beings are parts of God, but due to some of our mistakes, we have become separated from God, and are suffering the consequences of our actions by coming to this earth. The lila (pastimes) of Lord Sri Krishna are eternal, and unfold at their proper time, once in a day of Brahma. The duration of one day in the life of Brahma is 4,30,00,00,000 solar years, and the divine lila (pastimes) of Sri Bhagavan unfold at their proper time in one day of Brahma, just as the sun rises in the east at the end of every twenty-four hours.
