At the time of Setubandh, when all the devotees of Ram, Nal-Neel, Hanuman ji etc., after writing the name of Ram on the stones, threw them into the sea, instead of drowning, those stones used to float in the sea.
At that time Lord Shri Ram was standing on one side watching everything, and he was amazed to see that when stones were thrown into the ocean, they started floating.
Then he thought in his mind that if these stones are floating just by writing my name on them, then they will definitely float even when I throw them myself? Now Lord Shri Ram picked up a big stone and threw it into the sea, but what is this, that stone drowned in the sea.
Again he threw another stone, but this time also failed, and again the stone sank into the sea. In such a situation Shri Ram was thinking that, there is no difference between me and my name, then why these stones are not floating when I throw them? In this way he got engrossed in deep contemplation.
And nearby, Hanuman ji was secretly staring at his beloved Lord. Knowing Lord Shri Ram's mood, he came in front of him and answered Shri Ram's questions running in his mind, saying, O Lord, when we write the name of Ram on a stone, that stone receives your company continuously, and As long as the name Ram is attached to the stone, it will surely float.
But when you throw a stone, you are throwing the stone, and once you throw something, how can it float? In this way, it is proved from this context that the glory of the name is greater than that of the famous.
