Ingredients for making Chilli Paneer :
1. Paneer : 500 grams
2. Capsicum : 2 large size
3. Corn flour : 5 tablespoons
4. Soya sauce : 2 tablespoons
4. Vinegar : 2 tablespoons
5. Tomato sauce : 2 tablespoons
6. Garam masala : 1 tablespoon
7. Red chilli powder : 1 tablespoon
8. Black pepper powder : 1/2 tablespoon
9. Ginger : about one inch piece
10. Finely chopped coriander leaves
11. Ajinomoto : a pinch
12. Salt as per taste
13. Mustard oil as per requirement
Method to make Chilli Paneer :
First of all cut the paneer into square and slightly bigger pieces. Now add corn flour and little salt to it and mix it gently so that the corn flour gets coated on the paneer well.
Now heat oil in a pan and then add the coated paneer to it and fry it lightly by turning it over. Fry the whole paneer in the same way and take it out in a plate.
Now cut the capsicum into square pieces and grate the ginger. Heat the pan again and add 1 tablespoon of oil to it and add the grated ginger and stir it for two minutes. Then add the capsicum and stir it for one to two minutes on high flame.
Now reduce the flame to very low and then add tomato sauce, soya sauce, vinegar, red chilli powder, black pepper powder and ajinomoto and stir it for two to three minutes. Now put 1 spoon of corn flour in half a bowl of water and mix it well and then pour it into the pan and keep stirring.
When it starts boiling, add paneer garam masala and salt according to taste, mix it well and cook for two to three minutes and then add chopped coriander leaves and turn off the gas.
Here you go, hot and very tasty chilli paneer without garlic and onion is ready. Serve it with rice, roti, puri or paratha.
