धर्मः प्रोज्झितकैतवोतऽत्र परमो निर्मत्सराणां सतांवेद्यं वास्तवमत्र वस्तु शिवदं तापत्रयोन्मूलनम्।
श्रीमद्भागवते महामुनिकृते किं वा परैरीश्वर:
सद्यो हृद्यवरुध्यतेऽत्र कृतिभि:शुश्रूषुभिस्तत्क्षणात्।।२।।
तात्पर्य : यह भागवत पुराण भौतिक कारणों से प्रेरित होने वाले समस्त धार्मिक कृत्यों को पूर्ण रूप से बहिष्कृत करते हुए, सर्वोच्च सत्य का प्रतिपादन करता है, जो पूर्ण रूप से शुद्ध हृदय वाले भक्तों के लिए बोधगम्य है।
यह सर्वोच्च सत्य वास्तविकता है जो माया से पृथक होते हुए सबों के कल्याण के लिए है। ऐसा सत्य तीनों प्रकार के संतापों को समूल नष्ट करने वाला है। महामुनि व्यासदेव द्वारा संकलित यह सौंदयपूर्ण भागवत ईश्वर साक्षात्कार के लिए अपने आप में पर्याप्त है।
तो फिर अन्य किसी शास्त्र की क्या आवश्यकता है? जैसे जैसे कोई ध्यानपूर्वक तथा विनीत भाव से भागवत के संदेश को सुनता है, वैसे वैसे ज्ञान के इस संस्कार से उसके हृदय में परमेश्वर स्थापित हो जाते हैं।
अर्थात् धर्म के नाम पर जो गंदगी है, प्रोपोगेंडा है, श्रीमद्भागवत उसे हृदय से निकाल कर फेंक देता है, और श्रीमद्भागवत को अमल पुराण कहा गया है, यानि इस पुराण में किसी प्रकार का मल नहीं है,कल्मस नहीं है। तथा ऐसे सभी धार्मिक कृत्यों को जिसका कृष्ण से कोई संबंध नहीं है , जिसका आध्यात्मिक उन्नति से कोई संबंध नहीं है श्रीमद्भागवत ऐसे सारे कार्यों को बहिष्कृत करता है।
श्रीमद्भागवत सर्वोच्च सत्य का प्रतिपादन करता है, और वो सर्वोच्च सत्य है कि कृष्ण ही पूर्ण पुरुषोत्तम भगवान हैं। हमें ये मनुष्य जीवन मिला है जन्म मृत्यु जड़ा, व्याधि के चक्र से बाहर निकलने, तथा कृष्ण भक्ति से युक्त होकर, शरणागत होकर के उनके धाम को प्राप्त करना, ये सर्वोच्च सत्य है। इस सत्य का प्रतिपादन श्रीमद्भागवत करता है, और ये उसे समझ आएगा जिसका हृदय शुद्ध हो, अर्थात जिसके हृदय में किसी प्रकार का कल्मस नहीं हो तथा जो व्यक्ति काम, क्रोध, लोभ, मोह से परे हो।
प्रायः लोग पशुतुल्य हो गए हैं, और उनको आध्यात्मिक ज्ञान में कोई रुचि नहीं है।ये श्रीमद्भागवत का ज्ञान माया से पृथक जो आध्यात्मिक उन्नति के लिए प्रयत्नशील व्यक्ति हैं उनके कल्याण के लिए है, और ऐसे सत्य तीन प्रकार के संतापों को समूल नष्ट करने वाले हैं। वे तीiन प्रकार के संताप हैं : 1 .आदि दैविक, 2.आध्यात्मिक और 3. आदि भौतिक
अर्थात श्रीमद्भागवत तीन प्रकार के संतापों को समूल नष्ट कर देगा। आदि दैविक कष्ट वो है जो प्रकृति के द्वारा हमें मिलती है, जैसे सूखा पड़ गया, बाढ़ आ गई, गर्मी हो रही है, वर्षा हो रही है, सर्दी पड़ रही है इत्यादि।
आध्यात्मिक कष्ट वो है जो हमारे शरीर और मन से हमें प्राप्त होता है, और आदि भौतिक कष्ट वो है जो हमें दूसरों से प्राप्त होता है। जो व्यक्ति इस श्रीमद्भागवत का ज्ञान प्राप्त कर लेता है,वो इन तीनों तापों का समूल नष्ट कर देता है, अर्थात वो इन तीनों तापों से परे हो जाता है। जब व्यक्ति पूरी तरह से कृष्णभावनामृत हो जाता है तो वह जन्म, मृत्यु, जड़ा व्याधि के चक्र से मुक्त हो जाता है। इस श्रीमद्भागवत के ज्ञान को वेदव्यास जी ने संकलित किया और लिपिबद्ध किया।
जब हम इस ग्रंथ को पढ़ते हैं तो, हमारे भगवद्शाक्षात्कार के लिए ये पर्याप्त है। अगर हम श्रीमद्भागवत पढ़ रहे हैं, तो हमें और कोई भी ग्रंथ पढ़ने की आवश्यकता नहीं है, क्योंकि केवल इसे पढ़ने मात्र से ही हमें भगवान के विषय में साक्षात्कार होगा, भगवद्प्राप्ति हो सकती है, और इसलिए यहां कह रहे हैं कि अगर श्रीमद्भागवत है तो हमें और किसी ग्रंथ की क्या आवश्यकता है?
हमारे आचार्य भक्तिसिद्धांत सरस्वती ठाकुर कहते थे कि अगर विश्व की सारी लाइब्रेरी में आग लग जाए,और सारे ग्रंथ जल जाए लेकिन श्रीमद्भागवतम् बचा रहे तो श्रीमद्भागवतम् बचे रहने से सारा ज्ञान पुनर्स्थापित हो सकता है, बांकी सब ग्रंथ जल जाए कोई फर्क नहीं पड़ता, लेकिन श्रीमद्भागवत बचा रहना चाहिए।
जैसे जैसे कोई भागवत को विनीत भाव से तथा ध्यानपूर्वक सुनता है, तो उसके हृदय में परमेश्वर स्थापित हो जाते हैं। अर्थात श्रीमद्भागवत का ज्ञान प्राप्त करने के लिए हमें विनीत भाव से तथा ध्यानपूर्वक इसे सुनना चाहिए। ध्यान पूर्वक इसका श्रवण करने से हमारा हृदय शुद्ध हो जाएगा, धीरे धीरे हमारे हृदय से सारे कल्मस निकल जाएंगे , और फिर हमें भगवद्शाक्षात्कार प्राप्त होगा।

Shrimad Bhagwat Mahamunikrite Ki Va Parairishwar:
Sadyo hridyvarudhaytatr kritribhih shushrushubhistatkshanat.।।2।।
Purport: This Bhagavata Purana, completely excluding all religious activities motivated by material reasons, propounds the Supreme Truth, which is completely comprehensible to devotees with a pure heart.
This is the supreme true reality which is separate from Maya and is for the welfare of all. Such truth will completely destroy all three types of sufferings. This beautiful Bhagwat compiled by Mahamuni Vyasdev is sufficient in itself to realize God.
Then what is the need for any other scripture? As one listens to the message of Bhagwat attentively and submissively, God gets established in his heart through this sacrament of knowledge.
That is, whatever filth and propaganda is there in the name of religion, Shrimad Bhagwat removes it from the heart and throws it away, and Shrimad Bhagwat has been called Amal Purana, that is, there is no filth, no kalamas in this Purana. And all such religious activities which have no connection with Krishna, which have no connection with spiritual progress Srimad Bhagavatam excludes all such activities.
Srimad Bhagavatam propounds the supreme truth, and that supreme truth is that Krishna is the Supreme Supreme Lord. We have got this human life, to get out of the cycle of birth and death, disease, and to attain His abode by surrendering to Krishna, is the supreme truth. This truth is propounded by Srimad Bhagwat, and it will be understood by one whose heart is pure, that is, one who does not have any kind of filth in his heart and who is beyond lust, anger, greed and attachment.
Most people have become like animals, and have no interest in spiritual knowledge. This knowledge of Srimad Bhagavatam is for the welfare of those who are striving for spiritual progress, separated from Maya, and such truths are the destroyers of all three types of sufferings. Are. There are three types of sufferings: 1. Divine, 2. Spiritual and 3. Physical.
That is, Shrimad Bhagwat will completely destroy three types of sufferings. Adi divine troubles are those which we get through nature, like drought, flood, heat, rain, cold etc.
Spiritual suffering is what we receive from our body and mind, and physical suffering is what we receive from others. The person who acquires the knowledge of this Srimad Bhagwat completely destroys these three temperatures, that is, he goes beyond these three temperatures. When a person becomes completely Krishna conscious he becomes free from the cycle of birth, death and disease. The knowledge of this Shrimad Bhagwat was compiled and written down by Vedvyas ji.
When we read this scripture, it is enough for our realization of God. If we are reading Srimad Bhagwat, then we do not need to read any other scripture, because only by reading this we will have realization about God, can attain Bhagavad-attainment, and hence it is saying here that if there is Srimad Bhagwat then Why do we need any more scriptures?
Our Acharya Bhaktisiddhant Saraswati Thakur used to say that if there is a fire in the entire library of the world, and all the books are burnt but Srimad Bhagavatam is saved, then if Srimad Bhagavatam is saved then all the knowledge can be restored, it does not matter if all the other books are burnt, but Shrimad Bhagwat should be preserved.
As one listens to Bhagwat humbly and attentively, God becomes established in his heart. That is, to gain knowledge of Shrimad Bhagwat, we should listen to it with humility and attention. By listening to it carefully, our heart will be purified, gradually all the impurities will be removed from our heart, and then we will attain God's realization.
