यतपादसंश्रया:
सूत मुनयः प्रशमायना: ।सद्य: पुनन्त्युपस्पृष्टा: स्वर्धुन्यापोऽनुसेवया ।।15।।
अनुवाद श्रील प्रभुपाद के द्वारा : हे सूत गोस्वामी,जिन महान ऋषियों ने पूर्ण रूप से श्रीभगवान के चरण कमलों की शरण ग्रहण कर ली है, वे अपने सम्पर्क में आने वालों को तुरन्त पवित्र कर देते हैं, जबकि गंगाजल दीर्घ काल तक उपयोग करने के बाद ही पवित्र कर पाता है।
तात्पर्य : श्रीभगवान के शुद्ध भक्त पवित्र गंगाजल से भी अधिक शक्तिशाली होते हैं। मनुष्य गंगाजल के लंबे समय तक प्रयोग करने से ही आध्यात्मिक लाभ प्राप्त कर सकता है, लेकिन श्रीभगवान के शुद्ध भक्त की कृपा से मनुष्य तुरंत ही पवित्र हो सकता है।
श्रीमद्भगवद्गीता में कहा गया है कि चाहे कोई जन्म से शुद्र हो या स्त्री या वैश्य हो,वह श्रीभगवान के चरण कमलों की शरण ग्रहण कर सकता है, और इस प्रकार वह भगवद्धाम वापस लौट सकता है।
श्रीभगवान के चरण कमलों में शरण ग्रहण करने का अर्थ है, शुद्ध भक्तों की शरण ग्रहण करना।जिन शुद्ध भक्तों का एकमात्र कार्य श्रीभगवान की सेवा करना है,वे प्रभुपाद तथा श्रीविष्णुपाद कहलाते हैं, जो ऐसे भक्तों के श्रीभगवान के चरण कमलों के प्रतिनिधि होने का द्योतक है।
अतः जो भी व्यक्ति शुद्ध भक्त को अपना गुरु बना कर उनके चरण कमलों की शरण ग्रहण करता है,वह तुरंत शुद्ध हो जाता है। श्रीभगवान के ऐसे भक्त श्रीभगवान के समान ही आदरणीय हैं, क्योंकि वे श्रीभगवान की गुह्यतम शेवा में संलग्न रहते हैं, और वे उन पतितात्माओं का इस भवसागर से उद्धार कराते हैं, जिन्हें श्रीभगवान अपने धाम में वापस बुलाना चाहते हैं।
शास्त्रों के अनुसार ऐसे शुद्ध भक्तों को सेवक भगवान कहा जाता है। शुद्ध भक्त का निष्ठावान शिष्य अपने गुरु को श्रीभगवान के तुल्य मानता है, किन्तु अपने आपको श्रीभगवान के दासों का भी दास समझता है।यही शुद्ध भक्ति का मार्ग है।
इस श्लोक से हमें यही सीख मिलती है कि यदि हम श्रीभगवान के शुद्ध भक्तों को अपना गुरु बनाते हैं, तो ऐसे गुरु अवश्य ही हमें इस भवसागर से पार करा कर हमें भगवद्धाम वापस भेज सकते हैं, और हमेसा के लिए हमें इस जन्म, मृत्यु,जरा व्याधि से छुटकारा मिल सकता है।
Yatpadsansryah sut munyah prashmayanah.
Sadyah punantyupsprishtah swardhunyaponusevaya ।।15।।
Translation by Srila Prabhupada: Oh Suta Goswami, the great sages who have completely taken refuge in the lotus feet of the Lord instantly purify those who come in contact with them, whereas the Ganga water after being used for a long time Only he can purify.
Purport: Pure devotees of Lord Sri are more powerful than the holy Ganges water. Man can get spiritual benefits only by using Ganga water for a long time, but by the grace of a pure devotee of Sri Bhagavan, man can become pure immediately.
It is said in Srimad Bhagavad Gita that whether one is a Shudra by birth or a woman or a Vaishya, he can take refuge at the lotus feet of the Lord, and thus he can return back to the abode of God.
Taking shelter in the lotus feet of the Lord means taking shelter of the pure devotees. The pure devotees whose only work is to serve the Lord are called Prabhupada and Sri Vishnupad, which means that such devotees are the representatives of the lotus feet of the Lord. Is indicative.
Therefore, whoever makes a pure devotee his Guru and takes shelter at his lotus feet, he immediately becomes pure. Such devotees of the Lord are as respectable as the Lord, because they remain engaged in the deepest service of the Lord, and they liberate from this ocean of material existence those souls whom the Lord wishes to call back to His abode.
According to the scriptures, such pure devotees are called servants of God. A loyal disciple of a pure devotee considers his Guru equal to the Lord, but he also considers himself a slave of the servants of the Lord. This is the path of pure devotion.
The lesson we learn from this verse is that if we make pure devotees of the Lord our Guru, then such a Guru can definitely take us across this ocean of material existence and send us back to the abode of God, and forever free us from this cycle of birth, death, One can get relief from the disease.
