पापमोचनी एकादशी व्रत कथा

ब्रम्हांड पुराण में ये वर्णन आता है कि एक बार युधिष्ठिर महाराज भगवान श्री कृष्ण से पूछते हैं कि चैत्र मास के कृष्ण पक्ष की एकादशी की क्या महिमा है, और इस एकादशी का नाम क्या है।

           तब भगवान श्री कृष्ण युधिष्ठिर से कहते हैं कि हे राजन् जगत के कल्याण हेतु , और सभी जीवों के कल्याण हेतु मैं आपको इस एकादशी की महिमा को बता रहा हूं। चैत्र मास के कृष्ण पक्ष की इस एकादशी का नाम पापमोचनी एकादशी है, इस व्रत के प्रभाव से मनुष्य के सभी पापों का नाश होता है।

          यह सब व्रतों से उत्तम व्रत है, इस पापमोचनी एकादशी के सुनने और पढ़ने से मनुष्य के सभी पाप नष्ट हो जाते हैं। एक समय देवर्षि नारद जी ने जगत पिता ब्रम्हा जी से कहा कि महाराज आप मुझसे चैत्र मास की कृष्ण पक्ष की एकादशी का विधान कहिए।

             इस पर ब्रम्हा जी ने कहा कि हे नारद चैत्र मास के कृष्ण पक्ष की एकादशी पापमोचनी एकादशी के रूप में मनाई जाती है। इस दिन भगवान विष्णु का पूजन किया जाता है। इसकी कथा के अनुसार प्राचीन काल में चैत्ररथ नामक रमणीक वन था। इस वन में देवराज इन्द्र गंधर्व कन्याओं, अप्सराओं तथा देवताओं सहित स्वछंद विहार करते थे।

                यही वो वन था जहां च्यवन ऋषि के पुत्रमेधावी तपस्या करते थे, जो शिव जी के परम भक्त थे। अप्सराएं काम देव की अनुचरी थी, और काम देव शिव जी के विद्रोही थे। इस वजह से शिव जी से बदला लेने के लिए काम देव ने एक अप्सरा से उनका  ध्यान भंग करने को कहा। इस काम को करने के लिए काम देव ने मंजू घोषा नामक अप्सरा को कहा।

                     मंजू घोषा ने अपने हाव भाव और नृत्य से ऋषि का ध्यान भंग कर दिया, और ऋषि मंजू घोषा के प्रेम में पड़ गए। धीरे धीरे दोनों जगह जगह घूमने लगे, उन दोनों को रात दिन का भी ध्यान नहीं रहा। एक दिन मंजू घोषा ने ऋषि से देवलोक जाने की अनुमति मांगी। उसके द्वारा आज्ञा मांगने पर मुनि को आत्मज्ञान हुआ और,ये एहसास हुआ कि मुझे रसातल में पहुंचाने का एक मात्र कारण ये अप्सरा मंजू घोषा है ।

                 इसलिए क्रोधित होकर उन्होेंने मंजू घोषा को पिशाचिनी होने का श्राप दे दिया। श्राप सुनकर मंजू घोषा ने कांपते हुए हाथ जोड़कर ऋषि से अपने श्राप से मुक्ति का उपाय पूछा। तब ऋषि ने उसे पापमोचनी एकादशी व्रत रखने को कहा ।

             मेधावी ऋषि जब वापस आश्रम पहुंचे तो उन्होंने अपने पिता च्यवन ऋषि को सारी बात बताई। च्यवन ऋषि ने कहा कि तुमने मंजू घोषा को श्राप देकर खुद को भी पाप का भागी बना लिया है, और अगर तुम्हें अपने पाप खत्म करने हैं तो तुम्हें भी पापमोचनी एकादशी का व्रत रखना होगा।

                तब मेधावी ऋषि ने भी पापमोचनी एकादशी का व्रत रखा, और इस प्रकार ऋषि के पाप नष्ट हुए। इस व्रत को करने से ही मंजू घोषा को पिशाच योनि से मुक्ति मिली, और अपने पूर्व स्वरूप को प्राप्त कर वह सवर्ग लोक को चली गई। यह कथा इस बात का प्रमाण है कि इस व्रत को करने से मनुष्य के सारे पाप नष्ट होते हैं।

              ब्रम्हा जी नारद जी से कहते हैं कि हे नारद जो भी मनुष्य इस व्रत को नियम पूर्वक करेगा उसके सारे पाप नष्ट हो जाएंगे। जो कोई भी इस व्रत के महात्म्य को पढ़ता या सुनता है उसको सारे संकटों से मुक्ति मिल जाती है।

              इतना कह कर भगवान श्री कृष्ण कहते हैं ,कि जो भी मनुष्य इस व्रत की कथा को पढ़ता है या सुनता है उसे एक हजार गाय दान करने का फल प्राप्त होता है।

            इस दिन सुबह जल्दी उठ कर स्नान आदि करके भगवान विष्णु की धूप दीप और नैवेद्य से पूजा करनी चाहिए। पूरे दिन भगवान की सुंदर लीलाओं का श्रवण करना चाहिए और, अधिक से अधिक हरे कृष्ण महामंत्र का जप करना चाहिए ।

It is described in the Brahmanda Purana that once Yudhishthira Maharaj asked Lord Shri Krishna what is the glory of Ekadashi of Krishna Paksha of Chaitra month, and what is the name of this Ekadashi.

Then Lord Shri Krishna tells Yudhishthira that O king, for the welfare of the world, and for the welfare of all living beings, I am telling you the glory of this Ekadashi.  The name of this Ekadashi of Krishna Paksha of Chaitra month is Papmochani Ekadashi, with the effect of this fast all the sins of man are destroyed.

This is the best fast among all fasts, all the sins of a man are destroyed by listening and reading this Papmochani Ekadashi.  Once upon a time Devarshi Narad ji said to Jagat Pita Brahma ji that Maharaj, you tell me the law of Ekadashi of Krishna Paksha of Chaitra month.

On this Brahma ji said that O Narad, the Ekadashi of Krishna Paksha of Chaitra month is celebrated as Papmochani Ekadashi.  Lord Vishnu is worshiped on this day.  According to its story, in ancient times there was a beautiful forest named Chaitrarath.  In this forest, Devraj Indra Gandharva along with girls, apsaras and deities used to do swachhand vihar.

This was the forest where Medhavi, the son of Rishi Chyavan, who was an ardent devotee of Lord Shiva, used to do penance.  Apsaras were followers of Kama Dev, and Kama Dev was a rebel of Shiva.  Because of this, in order to take revenge on Shiva, Kamdev asked an Apsara to distract him.  Kamdev asked an Apsara named Manju Ghosha to do this work.

Manju Ghosha distracted the sage with her gestures and dance, and the sage fell in love with Manju Ghosha.  Slowly both started roaming around, both of them didn't even care about day and night.  One day Manju Ghosha asked the sage for permission to go to Devlok.  On seeking permission from him, the sage attained enlightenment and realized that the Apsara Manju Ghosha was the only reason for taking me to the abyss.

That's why he got angry and cursed Manju Ghosha to be a vampire.  Hearing the curse, Manju Ghosha tremblingly asked the sage with folded hands the solution to get rid of her curse.  Then the sage asked him to observe the Papmochani Ekadashi fast.

When Medhavi Rishi returned to the ashram, he told the whole thing to his father Chyavan Rishi.  Chyawan Rishi said that by cursing Manju Ghosha, you have made yourself a part of sin, and if you want to end your sins, then you will also have to fast on Papmochani Ekadashi.

Then the meritorious sage also observed the fast of Papmochani Ekadashi, and thus the sins of the sage were destroyed.  It was only by observing this fast that Manju Ghosha got freedom from the vampire vagina, and after attaining her former form, she went to heaven.  This story is proof that by observing this fast all the sins of a man are destroyed.

Brahma ji tells Narad ji that O Narad, whoever observes this fast regularly, all his sins will be destroyed.  Whoever reads or listens to the greatness of this fast, he gets freedom from all troubles.

Having said this, Lord Shri Krishna says that whoever reads or listens to the story of this fast gets the result of donating one thousand cows.

On this day, one should wake up early in the morning and take bath etc. and worship Lord Vishnu with incense lamp and naivedya.  One should listen to the beautiful pastimes of the Lord throughout the day and chant the Hare Krishna Mahamantra more and more.

श्रीमद् भगवद्गीता के अध्याय 7 से लिया गया श्लोक संख्या 23

अन्तवत्तु फलं तेषां तद्भवत्यल्पमेधसाम्।

देवान्देवयजो यान्ति मद्भक्ता यान्ति मामपि।।23।।

 यहां भगवान कहते हैं कि अल्प बुद्धि वाले व्यक्ति देवताओं की पूजा करते हैं, और उन्हें प्राप्त होने वाले फल सीमित तथा क्षणिक होते हैं। देवताओं की पूजा करने वाले देवलोक को जाते हैं, किंतु मेरे भक्त अंत में मेरे परम धाम को प्राप्त होते हैं।

तात्पर्य  : भगवद्गीता के कुछ भाष्यकार कहते हैं कि देवता की पूजा करने वाला व्यक्ति परमेश्वर के पास पहुंच सकता है, किंतु यहां यह स्पष्ट कहा गया है कि देवताओं के उपासक भिन्न लोक को जाते हैं, जहां विभिन्न देवता स्थित हैं - ठीक उसी प्रकार जिस प्रकार सूर्य की उपासना करने वाला सूर्य को या चंद्रमा का उपासक चंद्रमा को प्राप्त होता है।

                इसी प्रकार यदि कोई इंद्र जैसे देवता की पूजा करना चाहता है,तो उसे पूजे जाने वाले उसी देवता का लोक प्राप्त होता है। ऐसा नहीं है कि किसी भी देवता की पूजा करने से भगवान को प्राप्त किया जा सकता है। यहां यह स्पष्ट कहा गया है कि देवताओं के उपासक भौतिक जगत के अन्य लोकों को जाते हैं, किंतु भगवान का भक्त भगवान के ही परमधाम को जाता है।

            अब यहां यह प्रश्न उठाया जा सकता है कि यदि विभिन्न देवता परमेश्वर के शरीर के विभिन्न अंग हैं,तो उन सबकी पूजा करने से एक ही जैसा फल मिलना चाहिए। किंतु देवताओं के उपासक अल्पज्ञ होते हैं, क्योंकि वे यह नहीं जानते कि शरीर के किस अंग को भोजन दिया जाय। उनमें से कुछ तो इतने मूर्ख होते हैं कि वे यह दावा करते हैं कि अंग अनेक हैं, अतः भोजन देने के ढंग अनेक हैं। किंतु यह उचित नहीं है, क्या कोई कानों या आंखों से शरीर को भोजन पहुंचा सकता है?

                  वे यह नहीं जानते कि वे देवता भगवान के विराट शरीर के विभिन्न अंग हैं, और वे अपने अज्ञान वश यह विश्वास कर बैठते हैं कि प्रत्येक देवता पृथक ईश्वर है, तथा परमेश्वर का प्रतियोगी है।

                  न केवल सारे देवता, अपितु सामान्य जीव भी परमेश्वर के अंश हैं। श्रीमद्भागवत में कहा गया है कि ब्राह्मण परमेश्वर के सिर हैं, क्षत्रिय उनकी बाहें हैं, वैश्य उनकी कटि तथा शुद्र उनके पांव हैं, और इन सबके अलग अलग कार्य हैं। यदि कोई देवताओं को या अपने आपको परमेश्वर का अंश मानता है, तो उसका ज्ञान पूर्ण है। किंतु यदि वह इसे नहीं समझता तो उसे भिन्न लोकों की प्राप्ति होती है, जहां देवतागण निवास करते हैं। यह वह गंतव्य नहीं है, जहां भक्तगण जाते हैं।

             देवताओं से प्राप्त वर नाशवान होते हैं, क्योंकि इस भौतिक जगत के भीतर सारे लोक, सारे देवता तथा उनके सारे उपासक नाशवान हैं। अतः इस श्लोक में यह स्पष्ट कहा गया है कि ऐसे देवताओं की उपासना से प्राप्त होने वाले सारे फल नाशवान होते हैं, अतः ऐसी पूजा केवल अल्पज्ञों द्वारा की जाती है। चूंकि परमेश्वर की भक्ति में कृष्णभावनामृत में संलग्न व्यक्ति ज्ञान से पूर्ण दिव्य आनंदमय लोक की प्राप्ति करता है, अतः उसकी तथा देवताओं की सामान्य उपलब्धियां पृथक पृथक होती हैं। परमेश्वर असीम हैं, उनका अनुग्रह अनंत है, उनकी दया भी अनंत है। अतः परमेश्वर की अपने शुद्ध भक्तों पर कृपा भी असीम होती है।

         भगवद्गीता के इस श्लोक से यह निष्कर्ष निकलता है कि भगवान केवल और केवल श्री कृष्ण हैं, और सभी देवी देवता उनके अलग अलग अंगों से निकले उनके पार्षद हैं। अतः यहां भगवान ने स्पष्ट ही कहा है कि केवल मेरी पूजा करने से तुम अंत में मेरे धाम को प्राप्त होगे, और जन्म और मृत्यु के चक्र से हमेशा के लिए मुक्ति पा लोगे।अलग अलग देवी देवता की पूजा करने वाले अलग अलग देवताओं को प्राप्त होते हैं,और वे बार बार जन्म और मृत्यु के चक्र में फंसे रहते हैं। अतः हमें केवल श्री कृष्ण की पूजा करना चाहिए, जिससे अंत में हमें जन्म और मृत्यु के चक्र से छुटकारा मिल कर भगवद्धाम की प्राप्ति होगी।

Antavattu phalam Teshan Tadbhavatyalpamedhasam.

Devandevayjo yanti madbhakta yanti mampi..23.

Here the Lord says that persons with little intelligence worship the demigods, and the fruits they get are limited and temporary.  Those who worship the deities go to the heavenly planets, but my devotees finally reach my abode.

PURPORT Some commentators on Bhagavad-gita say that one who worships the demigods can reach the Supreme Lord, but it is clearly stated here that the worshipers of the demigods go to different planets where the different demigods are situated - just as  The worshiper of the Sun gets the Sun or the worshiper of the Moon gets the Moon.

Similarly if one wants to worship a deity like Indra, he gets the world of the deity he worshipped.  It is not that God can be attained by worshiping any deity.  It is clearly stated here that the worshipers of the demigods go to other planets in the material world, but the devotee of the Lord goes to the Supreme Abode of the Lord.

Now the question may be raised here that if the different deities are different parts of the body of the Supreme Lord, then worshiping all of them should yield the same result.  But the worshipers of the deities are ignorant because they do not know which part of the body should be fed.  Some of them are so foolish that they claim that since there are many organs, there are many ways of giving food.  But this is not proper, can one deliver food to the body through the ears or the eyes?

They do not know that those demigods are different parts of the universal body of the Lord, and out of their ignorance they believe that each demigod is a separate God, and a competitor of the Supreme Lord.

Not only all the demigods, but even the ordinary living entities are part and parcel of the Supreme Lord.  The Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam states that the Brahmins are the head of the Supreme Lord, the Kshatriyas are His arms, the Vaishyas are His waist and the Shudras are His feet, and all of them have different functions.  If one considers the demigods or himself to be part and parcel of the Supreme Lord, then his knowledge is complete.  But if he does not understand this, he attains different worlds, where the gods reside.  This is not the destination where the devotees go.

The boons obtained from the demigods are perishable, because within this material world all the planets, all the demigods and all their worshipers are perishable.  Therefore, it is clearly stated in this verse that all the fruits obtained from the worship of such deities are perishable, therefore such worship is done only by the less intelligent.  Since a person engaged in Kṛṣṇa consciousness in the devotional service of the Supreme Lord attains the transcendental blissful world full of knowledge, his general achievements and those of the demigods are separate.  God is infinite, His grace is infinite, His mercy is also infinite.  Therefore, the grace of the Supreme Lord on His pure devotees is also limitless.

From this verse of the Bhagavad Gita it is concluded that the Lord is one and only Sri Krishna, and all the demigods are His associates emanating from His different parts.  So here the Lord has clearly said that only by worshiping Me you will finally attain My abode, and will be freed from the cycle of birth and death forever.  and they are trapped in the cycle of birth and death again and again.  Therefore, we should worship only Shri Krishna, so that in the end we will get rid of the cycle of birth and death and go to God's abode.

आमलकी एकादशी व्रत कथा

फाल्गुन मास के शुक्ल पक्ष में आने वाली एकादशी को आमलकी एकादशी कहते हैं। आमलकी यानी आंवला, आंवला को शास्त्रों में श्रेष्ठ स्थान प्राप्त है। भगवान श्री विष्णु ने जब श्रृष्टि की रचना के लिए ब्रम्हा जी को जन्म दिया, तो उसी समय आंवले के वृक्ष की भी धरती पर उत्पत्ति की।

                     आंवले को भगवान विष्णु ने आदि वृक्ष के रूप में प्रतिष्ठित किया है। इसके हर अंग में ईश्वर का स्थान माना गया है। एक समय राजा मान्धाता वशिष्ट मुनि से बोले कि हे मुनि यदि आप मुझ पर कृपा करें तो किसी ऐसे व्रत की कथा कहिए, जिससे मेरा कल्याण हो।

                      इस पर वशिष्ट मुनि बोले कि हे राजन सब व्रतों से उत्तम, और मोक्ष प्रदान करने वाली आमलकी एकादशी के व्रत का मैं वर्णन करता हूं। यह एकादशी फाल्गुन मास के शुक्ल पक्ष में आती है। इस व्रत के करने से सभी पाप नष्ट हो जाते हैं। इस व्रत का फल एक हजार गौ दान के फल के बराबर होता है।

                      अब मैं आपसे इस व्रत की एक पौराणिक कथा कहता हूं, जिसे आप ध्यान पूर्वक सुनिए। वैदिश नाम का एक नगर था,जिसमे ब्राह्मण, क्षत्रिय, वैश्य और शूद्र चारों वर्ण आनंद पूर्वक रहते थे। उस नगर में सदैव वेद ध्वनि गूंजा करती थी, पापी, दुराचारी और नास्तिक यहां कोई नहीं रहते थे।

                    उस नगर में जयद्रथ नाम का चंद्रवंशी राजा राज्य करता था। वह अत्यंत विद्वान तथा धर्म परायण था।इस नगर में कोई भी व्यक्ति दरिद्र तथा कंजूस नहीं था। सभी नगरवासी भगवान विष्णु की भक्ति किया करते थे। बूढ़े, जवान तथा बालक सभी एकादशी का व्रत किया करते थे।

                   एक समय फाल्गुन मास के शुक्ल पक्ष की आमलकी एकादशी आई, उस दिन राजा, प्रजा तथा बालक, वृद्ध सभी ने नियमपूर्वक एकादशी का व्रत किया। राजा अपने प्रजा के साथ मंदिर में जाकर पूर्ण कुंभ स्थापित करके धूप, दीप ,नैवेद्य तथा पंच रत्न आदि से आंवले के वृक्ष की पूजा और स्तुति करने लगे।

                   उस मंदिर में रात को सभी ने जागरण किया, रात के समय वहां एक बहेलिया आया। वह महापापी तथा दुराचारी था। अपने परिवार का पालन वह जीव हत्या करके किया करता था। उस समय वह भूख प्यास से अत्यंत व्याकुल था, अतः मंदिर में शायद खाने को कुछ मिल जाए इस इक्षा से वह मंदिर के एक कोने में बैठ गया।

                      वहां बैठ कर वह भगवान विष्णु की कथा, तथा एकादशी माहात्म्य को सुनने लगा। इस प्रकार उस बहेलिए ने मंदिर में बैठे हुए अन्य लोगों के साथ सारी रात जागरण किया और कथा सुनी। प्रातः काल सभी लोग अपने अपने घर को चले गए, और उसी प्रकार वह बहेलिया भी अपने घर गया, तथा घर जाकर उसने भोजन किया।

                   कुछ समय बीतने के बाद उस बहेलिए की मृत्यु हो गई। उसने जीव हत्या की थी इस कारण वह घोर नरक का भागी था, परंतु उस दिन अंजाने में की हुई आमलकी एकादशी व्रत और जागरण के प्रभाव से उसने राजा विदुरत के यहां जन्म लिया।

                  उसका नाम वसुरथ रखा गया। बड़ा होने पर वह चतुरंगिनी सेना सहित तथा धन धान्य से युक्त होकर दस सहस्त्र ग्रामों का संचालन करने लगा। वह अत्यंत धार्मिक, सत्यवादी, कर्मवीर और विष्णु भक्त था। वह प्रजा का समान भाव से पालन करता था। दान देना उसका नित्य कर्म था।

                 एक बार राजा वसुरथ शिकार खेलने के लिए वन में गया, दैव योग से वह वन में रास्ता भटक गया, और दिशा का ज्ञान न होने के कारण वह उसी वन में एक वृक्ष के नीचे सो गया। कुछ समय पश्चात वहां पहाड़ी डाकू आ गए, और राजा को अकेला देख कर मारो मारो चिल्लाते हुए राजा की ओर दौड़ पड़े।

                      वे डाकू कहने लगे कि इस दुष्ट राजा ने हमारे माता, पिता, पुत्र, पौत्र आदि समस्त संबंधियों को मारा है, तथा देश से हमें निकाल दिया है, अब हमें इसे मार कर अपने अपमान का बदला लेना चाहिए। उसी समय राजा के शरीर से एक दिव्य देवी प्रकट हुई। वह देवी अत्यंत सुंदर थी, तथा सुंदर वस्त्रों तथा आभूषणों से सुसज्जित थी।

                   उसकी भृकुटी टेढ़ी थी, उसकी आंखों से क्रोध की भीषण लपटें निकल रही थी। उस समय वह काल के समान प्रतीत हो रही थी। उसने देखते ही देखते उन डाकुओं के समूह को नष्ट कर दिया। नींद से जागने पर राजा ने अनेक डाकुओं को वहां मृत पाया। राजा सोचने लगा कि किसने इन्हें मारा है,और इस वन में कौन मेरा हितैसी रहता है?

                  राजा ऐसा सोच ही रहा था कि तभी आकाशवाणी हुई, कि हे राजन इस संसार में भगवान विष्णु के अतिरिक्त तेरी रक्षा कौन कर सकता है? इस आकाशवाणी को सुनकर राजा ने भगवान विष्णु को स्मरण कर उन्हें प्रणाम किया। राजा अपने नगर को लौट आया और सुखपूर्वक राज्य करने लगा , और अंत में वह वैकुंठ धाम को  गया।

                 इस प्रकार  वशिष्ट मुनि ने राजा मान्धाता से कहा कि जो कोई भी इस आमलकी एकादशी के व्रत को नियम पूर्वक करता है उसे अंत में अवश्य ही वैकुंठ की प्राप्ति होती है। आमलकी एकादशी के पहले दशमी की रात्रि में व्रत करने वाले को एकादशी व्रत के साथ भगवान विष्णु का ध्यान करते हुए सोना चाहिए।

               आमलकी एकादशी के दिन सुबह स्नान आदि करके भगवान विष्णु की धूप दीप और नैवेद्य आदि से पूजन करें, तथा भगवान से प्रार्थना करें कि वो हमारे एकादशी व्रत को अच्छी तरह पूरी करने की हमें शक्ति दें। भगवान की पूजा के पश्चात पूजन सामग्री लेकर आंवले के वृक्ष की विधि पूर्वक पूजा करें।

                 एकादशी के दिन अधिक से अधिक भगवान की सुंदर लीलाओं का श्रवण करें, भगवान का कीर्तन करें, और हरे कृष्ण महामंत्र का कम से कम सोलह  अथवा 25 माला का जप अवश्य करें। द्वादशी के दिन ब्राह्मणों को भोजन कराएं और उन्हें कुछ दक्षिणा देकर फिर व्रत का पारण करें।

     The Ekadashi that falls in the Shukla Paksha of Falgun month is called Amal Ekadashi.  Amalaki means Amla, Amla gets the best place in the scriptures.  When Lord Shri Vishnu gave birth to Lord Brahma to create the universe, at the same time the Amla tree also originated on earth.

  Amla has been revered by Lord Vishnu as the primordial tree.  God's place is considered in every part of it.  Once upon a time, Mandhata said to Vashisht Muni that O Muni, if you have mercy on me, then tell the story of such a fast, which will be beneficial for me.

  On this Vashisht Muni said that O Rajan, I describe the fast of Amal Ekadashi, the best of all fasts, and which gives salvation.  This Ekadashi appears in the Shukla Paksha of Falgun month.  By observing this fast all the sins are destroyed.  The fruit of this fast is equal to the fruit of donating one thousand cows.

  Now let me tell you a mythological story of this fast, which you should listen carefully.  There was a city named Vaidish, in which Brahmins, Kshatriyas, Vaishyas and Shudras lived around Varna Anand carefully.  In that city, the sound of Vedas always resounded, sinners, miscreants and atheists did not live here.         

    A Chandravanshi king named Jayadratha used to rule in that city.  He was very learned and pious. No person in this city was poor or stingy.  All the townspeople used to worship Lord Vishnu.  Old, young and children all used to fast on Ekadashi.

Once upon a time, Amalaki Ekadashi of Shukla Paksha of Phalgun month came, on that day the king, the subjects and the children, the elders all observed Ekadashi fast according to the rules.  The king went to the temple with his subjects and established a complete Kumbh and started worshiping and praising the Amla tree with incense, lamp, naivedya and five gems etc.

Everyone kept awake in that temple at night, a fowler came there at night.  He was a great sinner and a miscreant.  He used to take care of his family by killing animals.  At that time he was extremely distraught with hunger and thirst, so he sat in a corner of the temple with the hope that he might get something to eat in the temple.

Sitting there, he started listening to the story of Lord Vishnu and the greatness of Ekadashi.  In this way, the fowler kept vigil all night with other people sitting in the temple and listened to the story.  In the morning all the people went to their respective homes, and in the same way the fowler also went to his house, and after going home he had food.         

After some time the fowler died.  He had killed a living being, that is why he was a part of the severe hell, but on that day, due to the effect of Amalaki Ekadashi fasting and awakening, he was born in the place of King Vidurat.

 He was named Vasurath.  When he grew up, he started running ten thousand villages with Chaturangini army and equipped with money grains.  He was very religious, truthful, Karmaveer and Vishnu devotee.  He used to follow the subjects equally.  Giving charity was his daily duty.

 Once King Vasurath went to the forest to play hunting, due to divine yoga he lost his way in the forest, and due to lack of knowledge of the direction, he slept under a tree in the same forest.  After some time the hill bandits came there, and seeing the king alone, ran towards the king shouting 'Maro Maro'.

 Those robbers started saying that this evil king has killed all our relatives like mother, father, son, grandson etc., and has driven us out of the country, now we should avenge our insult by killing him.  At the same time a divine goddess appeared from the king's body.  That goddess was very beautiful, and was adorned with beautiful clothes and ornaments.

His brows were crooked, fierce flames of anger were coming out of his eyes.  At that time she seemed like time.  He destroyed those group of dacoits in no time.  On waking up from sleep, the king found many dacoits dead there.  The king started thinking who killed him, and who lives well in this forest?

 The king was thinking like this that only then there was a voice in the sky, that O king, who can protect you in this world except Lord Vishnu?  After listening to this Akashvani, the king remembered Lord Vishnu and bowed down to him.  The king returned to his city and ruled happily, and at last he went to Vaikunth Dham.

 In this way Vashisht Muni told King Mandhata that whoever observes the fast of this Amalaki Ekadashi regularly will definitely attain Vaikuntha in the end.  One who fasts on the first Dashami night of Amalaki Ekadashi should go to sleep meditating on Lord Vishnu along with Ekadashi fast.

 On the day of Amalaki Ekadashi, take bath etc. in the morning and worship Lord Vishnu with incense, lamp and naivedya etc., and pray to God to give us the strength to complete our Ekadashi fast.  After worshiping God, worship the Amla tree with the worship material.

 On the day of Ekadashi, listen to God's beautiful pastimes as much as possible, do kirtan of God, and chant at least sixteen or 25 rounds of the Hare Krishna mahamantra.  On the day of Dwadashi, feed the Brahmins and give them some dakshina and then break the fast.

प्रार्थना में बहुत बड़ा बल होता है

ये कहानी एक सच्ची घटना पर आधारित है। एक डॉक्टर था, जिसका नाम था मार्क। वह हृदय रोग का बहुत बड़ा विशेषज्ञ था।

                 उसने अपने मेडिकल क्षेत्र में बहुत बड़ी उपलब्धि प्राप्त किया था सर्जरी की, परन्तु वो बड़ा ही नास्तिक था, वो कहता था मैं केवल कर्म पर ही विश्वास करता हूं। मैं भगवान  वगवान पर बिल्कुल विश्वास नहीं करता हूं।

 वो केवल कर्म को मानता था। उसका कहना था कि केवल अच्छे कर्म करते रहो, अपने आप सफलता मिलती जाएगी। उसे एक के बाद एक उपलब्धि प्राप्त होती जा रही थी।

                    एक बार मार्क को एक इन्विटेशन मिला जिसमें पूरे विश्व भर के हृदय के डॉक्टर आने वाले थे, और डॉक्टर मार्क को उनके मुख्य अतिथि के रूप में बुलाया गया था, क्योंकि उन्होंने हृदय के सर्जरी में बहुत बड़ी उपलब्धि हासिल की थी, इसलिए सारे विश्व भर के हृदय के डॉक्टरों के बीच में उन्हें सम्मानित करना था।

                 इतना बड़ा अवसर डॉक्टर मार्क खोना नहीं चाहते थे। उन्होंने तुरंत हवाई जहाज का टिकट बुक करवाया, और कहा कि सुबह 7बजे मुझे निकलना है,9 बजे वहां पहुंच जाऊंगा, और 11 बजे वो सेमिनार आयोजित किया जाएगा।

               उन्हें वहां क्या क्या डायलॉग बोलना था उन्होंने वो सारी तैयारी कर ली थी। सेमिनार में कौन से कपड़े पहन कर जाने है, और कौन से परफ्यूम लगाने हैं ये सारी तैयारी कर ली थी।

                 अगले दिन सुबह 7 बजे निकले, हवाई जहाज टेक ऑफ हुई, उड़ी, लेकिन अचानक से उसकी इंजन खराब हो गई, और इसकी वजह से उन्हें जहां जाना था, उससे पहले ही एक एयरपोर्ट पर हवाई जहाज को उतारना पड़ा।

               डॉक्टर मार्क को जब पता चला तो उन्हें बड़ा गुस्सा आया, कि ये क्या हो गया?तब पायलेट ने कहा कि हमने तो सब कुछ ठीक रखा था, लेकिन हमें खुद पता नहीं चल रहा है कि ये अचानक इंजन खराब क्यों हुआ?

              आपकी जान को खतरा न हो, इसमें जितने भी यात्री बैठे हैं उनकी जान को खतरा न हो, इसलिए यहां उतार दिया, नहीं तो कुछ भी हो सकता था।

             डॉक्टर मार्क को तो उस समय केवल अपना सेमिनार दिख रहा था, तो उन्होंने वहां खड़े टैक्सी वालों से बात की, लेकिन ये क्या टैक्सी वालों की भी आज हरताल थी, तो उन्होंने भी जाने से इनकार कर दिया।

             उनका आई कार्ड देखकर एक टैक्सी वाले ने उन्हें अपनी टैक्सी देकर कहा कि आप खुद ड्राइव कर के चले जाओ, यहां से दो घंटे में आप पहुंच जाओगे। वे वहां से गाड़ी लेकर 8 बजे निकले, और रास्ते में सोच रहे थे कि 10 बजे तक तो वहां पहुंच ही जाऊंगा।

              11 बजे सेमिनार में मुझे विश्व भर के डॉक्टरों के सामने सम्मानित किया जाएगा, और मैं पूरे विश्व भर में प्रसिद्ध हो जाऊंगा। ये सोच कर वो मन ही मन बहुत प्रसन्न हो रहे थे।

              अचानक से इतनी तेज आंधी आई, लेकिन उन्होंने फिर भी गाड़ी को रोका नहीं, क्योंकि उन्हें जिद थी कि मुझे वहां कैसे भी पहुंचना है। अब हुआ क्या, वो रास्ता भटक गए।

              बहुत तेज आंधी तूफ़ान था। एक डेढ़ घंटे बाद जब आंधी शांत हुई, तो उन्होंने देखा कि वो किसी जंगल में आ गए हैं। गाड़ी को आगे लेकर गए तो घनघोर जंगल था, और वहीं पर उनका डीजल पेट्रोल खत्म हो गया।

              थके भूखे प्यासे और घड़ी देखा तो 12 बज गए हैं, वो सेमिनार तो गया। दो घंटे तक इसी जंगल में भूखे प्यासे भटकते रहे और अब 2 बज गया था।

              वहीं पास में एक झोपड़ी दिखाई दी, उन्हें लगा यहां कुछ तो खाने को मिलेगा, और वो दौड़ कर उस झोपड़ी के पास गए। उन्होंने झोपड़ी का दरवाजा खटखटाया और कहा कि कोई है। तभी एक महिला झोपड़ी का दरवाजा खोलती है।

             वो महिला बड़ी गरीब थी। वो उस महिला से कहते हैं कि बहन मैं जंगल में रास्ता भटक गया और मेरी गाड़ी यहां खराब हो गई।यहां से शहर कितनी दूर है , क्या आप बता सकती हैं। उस महिला ने कहा कि शहर तो यहां से बीस किलोमीटर है।

             मुझे कुछ खाने को मिल सकता है क्या? उस महिला ने कहा कि आप अंदर आ जाओ, वह डॉक्टर अंदर आ कर बैठ गया। उस महिला ने तीन कप चाय बनाए,एक अपने लिए एक अपने बेटे के लिए, और एक डॉक्टर के लिए  । उसके पास कुछ बैठने को भी नहीं था तो उसने जैसे तैसे डॉक्टर को चाय बिस्किट दिए और कहा कि अगर आप चाहें तो हमारे साथ भगवान का कुछ देर प्रार्थना कर लें। मार्क ने कहा कि मैं भगवान वगवान को नहीं मानता, लेकिन मैं आपकी आस्था को ठेस नहीं पहुंचाना चाहता हूं, इसलिए आप प्रार्थना कर लें।

              मार्क देख रहा था कि यह बेचारी तो बहुत गरीब है, और इस घनघोर जंगल में अपने बच्चे के साथ अकेले रहती है। वह चाय बिस्किट खा रहा था और गौर से देख रहा था कि वो स्त्री और उसका बेटा बड़ी गंभीरता से प्रार्थना में तल्लीन थे।

             डॉक्टर मार्क को लगा कि ये कोई बहुत बड़ी चीज मांग रहे हैं, ये बहुत दुखी हैं। मैं यहां आ गया हूं और संपन्न भी हूं, अगर इन्हें किसी चीज की जरूरत है तो मैं इनकी मदद करूंगा।

               वो जब प्रार्थना करके उठे तो डॉक्टर मार्क ने कहा कि देखो मैं तो भगवान को नहीं मानता हूं, लेकिन आप दोनों इतने ध्यान पूर्वक प्रार्थना कर रहे थे कि, जैसे आप भगवान से कुछ बहुत बड़ी चीज मांग रहे हों।

             डॉक्टर मार्क ने उनसे कहा कि अगर आपको कुछ चाहिए तो आप मुझे बता सकती हैं, मैं आपकी मदद अवश्य ही करूंगा।

            तब उस महिला ने कहा कि मेरे बेटे के पैदा होते ही मेरे पति हमें छोड़कर भगवान के पास चले गए। उस दिन के बाद मैं और मेरा बेटा अकेले इस जंगल में जैसे तैसे गुजारा कर रहे हैं।

            महिला ने कहा कि मेरे बेटे के दिल में छेद है, मैं यहां के सभी डॉक्टरों को दिखा कर थक गई हूं, वे कहते हैं कि इसके दिल का ऑपरेशन तो केवल एक ही डॉक्टर कर सकते हैं, और वो हैं डॉक्टर मार्क। महिला ने कहा कि हम तो बहुत गरीब हैं, और हमारे पास तो खाने के लिए ही पैसे नहीं हैं, तो फिर मैं अपने बेटे को विदेश लेकर डॉक्टर मार्क के पास कैसे जा सकती हूं।

              यहां के डॉक्टर कहते हैं कि अगर दो साल के अंदर इसका ऑपरेशन नहीं हुआ, तो मेरा बेटा मर जाएगा, इसलिए हम दोनों मां बेटा रोज भगवान से यही प्रार्थना करते हैं कि भगवान अब आप ही कोई चमत्कार कर सकते हैं कि डॉक्टर मार्क किसी तरह रास्ता भटक कर हमारे पास आ जाएं, और फिर वो यहां आकर मेरे बेटे का ऑपरेशन कर दें, ताकि मेरे बेटे की जान बच जाए। महिला ने कहा कि मेरे पास मेरे बेटे के अलावा और कुछ भी नहीं है, और मैं इसके बगैर नहीं जी सकती हूं।

                महिला की इस बात को सुनते ही डॉक्टर मार्क के दोनों आंखों से अश्रु बहने लगे। उनकी बात को सुनकर वह हैरान रह गया, और उसने मन में सोचा कि मैं भी कितना स्वार्थी हूं। भगवान ने तो मुझे लोगों की सेवा के लिए मेरे अंदर ये गुण दिए हैं, और मैं अहंकारी केवल अपनी झूठी मान प्रतिष्ठा के लिए इसका दुरुपयोग कर रहा था।

            उसने उस महिला से कहा कि आप चिंता न करें, आपके भगवान ने आपकी प्रार्थना को सुन लिया है, और मुझे यहां भेज दिया है। मैं ही डॉक्टर मार्क हूं, मैं आपके बच्चे का ऑपरेशन करूंगा और वो बहुत जल्द ठीक हो जाएगा।

               मार्क के इस बात को सुनकर दोनों मां बेटा खुशी से फूले नहीं समा रहे थे। डॉक्टर मार्क ने महिला के बच्चे का मुफ्त में ऑपरेशन किया, और उनके लिए रहने के लिए घर और पैसे का इंतजाम किया। उस गांव में उसने गरीबों के लिए एक बहुत ही बड़ा हृदय रोग अस्पताल खोला, जहां पर गरीबों का मुफ्त में इलाज, और उन्हें भोजन भी दिया जाता था।

              इस प्रकार से उन्होंने कई अलग अलग गांवों में गरीबों के लिए अस्पताल खोला, और जहां निःसुल्क उनका इलाज होता था। इस घटना ने डॉक्टर मार्क को अंदर तक हिला दिया और उन्हें नास्तिक से आस्तिक बना दिया। इस कहानी से हमें यही सीख मिलती है कि भगवान की सच्चे मन से की हुई प्रार्थना कभी व्यर्थ नहीं जाती है, प्रभु के सच्चे मन से की हुई प्रार्थना में बहुत बड़ा बल होता है। हमारे सच्चे मन से की हुई प्रार्थना को प्रभु अवश्य ही सुनते हैं, और सुन कर उसे जरूर पूरी करते हैं।

This story is based on a true incident.  There was a doctor named Mark.  He was a great specialist in heart disease.

He had achieved a great achievement in his medical field of surgery, but he was a very atheist, he used to say that I believe only in Karma.  I don't believe in God at all.

He only believed in Karma.  He said that just keep doing good deeds, success will come automatically.  He was getting one achievement after another.

Once Mark received an invitation in which heart doctors from all over the world were going to come, and Dr. Mark was called as their chief guest, because he had made a huge achievement in heart surgery, so all over the world  He was to be honored among the heart doctors of

Dr. Mark didn't want to miss such a great opportunity.  He immediately booked the plane ticket, and said that I have to leave at 7 in the morning, will reach there at 9, and at 11 the seminar will be held.

What dialogues he had to say there, he had made all those preparations.  What clothes to wear in the seminar, and what perfume to apply, all these preparations were done.

The next day at 7 in the morning, the plane took off, flew, but suddenly its engine failed, and due to this, the plane had to land at an airport before where they were supposed to go.

When Dr. Mark came to know, he got very angry, what happened? Then the pilot said that we had kept everything right, but we ourselves do not know why this sudden engine failure?

There should be no danger to your life, there should be no danger to the lives of all the passengers sitting in it, that's why it was dropped here, otherwise anything could have happened.

Dr. Mark was only seeing his seminar at that time, so he talked to the taxi drivers standing there, but what if the taxi drivers were also on strike today, so they also refused to go.

Seeing his ID card, a taxi driver gave him his taxi and said that you drive yourself and go, you will reach from here in two hours.  He left there by taking a car at 8 o'clock, and on the way he was thinking that he would reach there by 10 o'clock.

At 11 o'clock in the seminar I will be honored in front of doctors from all over the world, and I will become famous all over the world.  Thinking of this, he was very happy in his heart.

Suddenly such a strong storm came, but still they did not stop the car, because they insisted that I have to reach there.  What happened now, they lost their way.

There was a very strong storm.  After an hour and a half, when the storm calmed down, he saw that he had come to a forest.  When he took the car ahead, there was a dense forest, and his diesel petrol ran out there.

Tired, hungry and thirsty and saw the clock, it was 12 o'clock, he had gone to the seminar.  For two hours they kept wandering in this forest hungry and thirsty and now it was 2 o'clock.

A hut was seen nearby, they felt that they would get something to eat here, and they ran to that hut.  He knocked on the door of the hut and said that someone was there.  Just then a woman opens the door of the hut.

That woman was very poor.  He tells the lady that sister, I lost my way in the forest and my car broke down here. How far is the city from here, can you tell.  The woman said that the city is twenty kilometers from here.

Can I have something to eat?  That woman said that you come inside, that doctor came inside and sat down.  The woman made three cups of tea, one for herself, one for her son, and one for the doctor.  He didn't even have anything to sit on, so he somehow gave tea biscuits to the doctor and said that if you want, pray to God with us for some time.  Mark said that I do not believe in God, but I do not want to hurt your faith, so you pray.

Mark was seeing that this poor thing is very poor, and lives alone with her child in this dense forest.  He was eating tea biscuits and watching carefully that the woman and her son were deeply engrossed in prayer.

Dr. Mark felt that he was asking for something very big, he was very sad.  I have come here and am also prosperous, if they need anything, I will help them.

When he got up after praying, Dr. Mark said that look, I do not believe in God, but both of you were praying so carefully, as if you were asking God for something very big.

Doctor Mark told him that if you need anything, you can tell me, I will definitely help you.

Then the woman said that as soon as my son was born, my husband left us and went to God.  After that day, my son and I are living alone in this forest.

The woman said that my son has a hole in his heart, I am tired of seeing all the doctors here, they say that only one doctor can do his heart operation, and that is Dr. Mark.  The woman said that we are very poor, and we do not have money to eat, then how can I take my son abroad to Dr. Mark.

The doctors here say that if it is not operated within two years, then my son will die, so we both mother and son pray to God every day that only you can do a miracle that Dr. Mark will somehow find a way.  Come wandering to us, and then they come here and operate on my son, so that my son's life can be saved.  The woman said that I have nothing but my son, and I cannot live without him.

Tears started flowing from both the eyes of Dr. Mark as soon as he heard this from the woman.  He was surprised to hear their words, and he thought in his mind how selfish I am too.  God has given me these qualities in me to serve the people, and I was arrogantly misusing it only for my false prestige.

He told the lady that don't worry, your God has heard your prayers, and has sent me here.  I am Dr. Mark, I will operate on your child and he will be fine very soon.

Hearing this from Mark, both mother and son were not happy.  Dr. Mark operated on the woman's child for free, and arranged a house and money for her to live.  In that village, he opened a very big heart disease hospital for the poor, where the poor were treated free of cost, and they were given food.

In this way he opened hospitals for the poor in many different villages, and where they were treated free of cost.  This incident shook Dr. Mark to the core and turned him from an atheist to a believer.  We learn from this story that the prayer done with a true heart of God never goes in vain, there is great power in the prayer done with the true heart of the Lord.  The Lord definitely listens to our sincere prayer, and listens to it and fulfills it.

कहां से आए लड्डू गोपाल?

ये कोई मनगढ़ंत कहानी नहीं बल्कि बिल्कुल सच्ची कहानी है। बृजभूमि में एक भक्त थे कुम्भन दास, कुंभन दास भगवान श्री कृष्ण की आराधना करते थे, वे दिन रात उनमें खोए रहते थे।

                  वो इतना ज्यादा प्रेम करते थे श्री कृष्ण से कि कभी उन्हें छोर कर कभी कहीं बाहर दूसरे शहर भी नहीं जाते थे। वो श्री कृष्ण की सेवा करते थे, उन्हें भोग लगाते थे, तो उन्हें लगता था कि अगर मैं कहीं दूर जाऊंगा तो मेरे भगवान को भोग कौन लगाएगा।

             हुआ यूं कि उन्हें वृन्दावन से न्योता आया , कि आपको भागवत कथा करनी है, तो उन्होंने मना कर दिया कि नहीं मैं अपने कृष्ण को छोर कर नहीं जा सकता हूं। भक्तों ने बहुत समझाया कि वहां भी तो भक्ति की ही बात है, और भगवान श्री कृष्ण के बारे में ही है तो आप चलिए वहां।

             उन्हें चिंता हो गई कि अब मेरे भगवान को भोग कौन लगाएगा। उनका बेटा था रघुनंदन तो उन्होंने उसे बुलाया और कहा कि बेटा मैं भगवान की सारी तैयारी करके जाऊंगा,और बस तू सुबह नहा धो कर उन्हें भोग लगा लेना।

                अब  कुम्भन दास ने सुबह  उठ कर नहा धो कर भगवान की पूजा की सारी तैयारी कर दी, और उनके लिए भोग बना कर कुम्भन दास वृन्दावन चले गए। अब रघुनंदन ने भगवान के भोग की थाली उनके पास रख कर उन्हें कहने लगा कि कान्हा जी आप भोग लगा लीजिए।

               रघुनंदन तो बच्चा था , तो उसे लगा कि भगवान भी वैसे ही भोग लगाते हैं, जैसे कि हम सब खाते हैं, तो वह इंतजार करने लगा कि भगवान भोग लगाएंगे, भगवान भोजन करेंगे।

           वह  बहुत देर तक भगवान के सामने बैठा रहा,और फिर प्यार से भगवान को बोला कि भगवान जी भोग लगा लीजिए, क्योंकि आज पिता जी भागवत कथा कहने गए हुए हैं। आज मैं ही हूं,तो आप जल्दी से भोग लगाइए।

             रघुनंदन इतने प्यार से बोल रहा था कि भगवान से अब रहा नहीं गया, और वो प्रकट हो गए। वैसे भी ये घर कोई साधारण व्यक्ति का नहीं था , बल्कि कुम्भन दास जी जैसे महान भक्त का था। यहां चौबीस घंटे श्री कृष्ण का ही गुणगान होता था, उस घर में भक्ति का इतना भाव था और इतना प्रभाव था कि भगवान का आना तय था।

                अब भगवान आए, आकर के भोग लगाए और फिर चले गए।  शाम को जब कुम्भन दास जी घर आए , और रघुनंदन से पूछा कि बेटा क्या तुमने भगवान को भोग लगाया , तो बेटे ने कहा कि हां पिता जी मैंने भगवान को भोग लगा दिया।

              कुम्भन दास ने कहा कि बेटा प्रसाद लेकर आओ, तो रघुनंदन ने कहा कि पिता जी भोजन तो सारा ठाकुर जी खा गए, प्रसाद तो बचा ही नहीं। ये सुनकर उन्हें लगा कि शायद बच्चे को बहुत भूख लगी होगी, और भगवान का प्रसाद तो बहुत स्वादिष्ट बनता है, तो रघुनंदन ने खा लिया होगा। उन्होंने कहा कि कोई बात नहीं तू खाया या फिर भगवान ने खाया बात बराबर है।

            अब वो रोज सुबह भगवान का भोग बना कर भागवत कथा कहने जाते, और जब शाम को जब घर आते तो पूछते कि बेटा प्रसाद, तो रघुनंदन रोज यही कहता कि भगवान आए और आकर पूरा खा गए, इसलिए तनिक भी प्रसाद नहीं बचा है।

             कुम्भन दास को शक हुआ कि ऐसा कैसे हो सकता है, रोज ये यही कहता है कि भगवान आकर पूरा भोजन खा गए,और कहीं ये झूठ तो नहीं बोल रहा है। वो सोचने लगे कि मैं इतना सारा भोजन रोज बनाता हूं , खीर बनाता हूं, पूरी बनाता हूं, लड्डू बनाता हूं सब्जी बनाता हूं, और इतना सारा भोजन ये अकेले कैसे खा जाता है।

           कुम्भन दास ने अगले दिन फिर से सुबह उठ कर भगवान के लिए भोग बनाया, और बेटे से कहा कि बेटा भगवान को भोग लगा लेना, और वो घर में ही छुप गया। वे छुप कर देख रहे थे तो उन्होंने देखा कि रघुनंदन ने ठाकुर जी को बुलाया और भगवान अपने सुंदर बाल रूप में आकर भोग लगाने लगे।

             कुम्भन दास छुप कर देख रहे थे, लेकिन उन्होंने जैसे ही भगवान को देखा तो उनसे रहा नहीं गया और, वे भगवान से मिलने के लिए आगे बढ़े, और  जैसे ही वे आगे बढ़े भगवान वहीं पर मूरत बन गए। वो मूरत थे लड्डू गोपाल, जिनके एक हाथ में लड्डू था, और दुसरे हाथ से वो खाने को थे, वही हैं लड्डू गोपाल।

               वही हैं वो लड्डू गोपाल जो आज घर घर में हैं, जिन्हें हम सभी बहुत प्यार करते हैं। आज भी भगवान वैसे ही हमारे घर में आकर भोग लगाते हैं, अगर हम पूरी श्रद्धा और पूर्ण विश्वास से उन्हें बुलाकर भोग लगाने के लिए कहें तो वे अवश्य ही आकर भोग लगाते हैं।

             आज भी कृष्ण वैसे ही अपने भक्तों के कहने पर आकर भोग लगाते हैं, उनके लिए कोई युग मायने नहीं रखता, वो अपने भक्तों के लिए हर युग में आते हैं, और कृष्ण आज भी आकर भोग लगाते हैं।

 बस हमारा अटूट विश्वास होना चाहिए प्रभु पर, वो तो हम सबके पिता हैं, और जैसे कोई भी पिता अपने बच्चों से बहुत प्यार करता है, ठीक उसी तरह वो तो हम सबके पिता हैं और वो हम सभी से बहुत प्यार करते हैं। हम  जितने के हकदार भी नहीं हैं,वो उससे कहीं ज्यादा हमें सुख समृद्धि प्रदान करते हैं।

This is not a fabricated story but a very true story.  Kumbhan Das was a devotee in Brijbhoomi, Kumbhan Das used to worship Lord Shri Krishna, he used to get lost in him day and night.

He used to love Shri Krishna so much that sometimes leaving him, he never used to go out to other cities.  He used to serve Shri Krishna, used to offer food to him, so he used to think that if I go somewhere far away, then who will offer food to my God.

It so happened that he was invited from Vrindavan, that you have to narrate Bhagwat Katha, so he refused that no, I cannot leave my Krishna.  The devotees explained a lot that even there it is a matter of devotion only, and it is only about Lord Shri Krishna, so you go there.

He got worried as to who will offer bhog to my God now.  His son was Raghunandan, so he called him and said that son, I will go after making all the preparations for God, and you just take a bath in the morning and offer him food.

Now Kumbhan Das got up early in the morning, took a bath and made all the preparations for the worship of God, and after preparing food for him, Kumbhan Das went to Vrindavan.  Now Raghunandan kept the plate of God's bhog near him and told him that Kanha ji, you should offer bhog.

Raghunandan was a child, so he felt that God also offers food in the same way as we all eat, so he started waiting that God will offer food, God will eat.

He sat in front of God for a long time, and then lovingly said to God that God should enjoy, because today father has gone to tell Bhagwat Katha.  Today I am the only one, so you enjoy quickly.

      Raghunandan was speaking with so much love that God could no longer resist, and he appeared.  Anyway, this house was not of any ordinary person, but of a great devotee like Kumbhan Das ji.  Here Shri Krishna was praised for twenty-four hours, there was so much feeling of devotion in that house and there was so much influence that the coming of God was certain.

Now God came, came and offered bhog and then went away.  When Kumbhan Das ji came home in the evening, and asked Raghunandan that son, have you offered bhog to God, the son said yes father, I have offered bhog to God.

Kumbhan Das said that son, bring Prasad, then Raghunandan said that father, Thakur ji has eaten all the food, there is no Prasad left.  Hearing this, he felt that perhaps the child must be very hungry, and God's prasad is very tasty, so Raghunandan must have eaten it.  He said that no matter whether you ate or God ate, it is the same.

Now every morning he went to tell Bhagwat Katha after preparing God's food, and when he came home in the evening, he would ask that son Prasad, then Raghunandan used to say everyday that God came and ate it completely, so there is not even an iota of Prasad left.

Kumbhan Das doubted how this could happen, everyday he says that God has come and eaten the whole meal, and is he lying somewhere?  They started thinking that I cook so much food everyday, I make kheer, I make puri, I make laddoos, I make vegetables, and how does he eat so much food alone.

Kumbhan Das again woke up early in the morning and made bhog for God, and told his son to offer bhog to God, and he hid in the house.  When they were watching secretly, they saw that Raghunandan called Thakur ji and God appeared in his beautiful child form and started offering food. 

Kumbhan Das was watching secretly, but as soon as he saw the Lord, he could not stop and, he proceeded to meet the Lord, and as soon as he went ahead, the Lord became a statue there.  That idol was Laddu Gopal, who had laddu in one hand, and with the other hand he was about to eat, he is Laddu Gopal.

He is that Laddu Gopal who is in every house today, whom we all love very much.  Even today God comes and offers bhog in our house in the same way, if we call him with full faith and full faith and ask him to offer bhog, he definitely comes and offers bhog.

Even today, Krishna comes and offers bhog at the behest of his devotees, no era matters to him, he comes in every era for his devotees, and even today Krishna comes and offers bhog.

Just we should have unwavering faith in the Lord, He is the father of all of us, and like any father loves his children very much, in the same way He is the father of all of us and He loves us all very much.  He gives us happiness and prosperity much more than what we are not entitled to.
