8. Salt to taste
9. Coriander leaves
10. Ginger
Method for making Moong Dal Cheela:
To make Moong Dal Cheela, soak the mung beans in a pan overnight. In the morning, change the water three to four times and wash them thoroughly. Boil the potatoes, cool them, peel them, and mash them into coarse pieces using a potato masher or by hand.
Now, put mung beans, a small piece of ginger, and three to four green chilies in a mixer jar, add a little water, and grind them all together. Transfer the ground lentils to a bowl and add salt to taste, gram flour, mashed potatoes, tomatoes, green chilies, and finely chopped curry leaves. Mix the mixture well.
Now heat a pan or pan on the gas, and pour one spoon of oil and spread it all around and take a little mixture with a ladle and spread it on the pan in the shape of a cheela. When one side of the cheela turns golden brown, then flip it over, if the oil seems less then add one spoon more oil and turn it over and make the cheela crispy, and then serve it hot.
Serve this cheela with any chutney, pickle or dip. This protein rich cheela is very tasty to eat too. You can make it for breakfast or dinner.
